Giftware Department Manager Location: Nottingham Salary: Competitive DOEThis is a great opportunity to take ownership of a busy and commercially important Giftware department within an established garden centre.It''s a broad role covering a wide range of categories including homeware, candles and fragrance, fashion, jewellery, toys and seasonal ranges. Buying forms a significant part of the position, alongside leading the team, driving sales and maintaining strong retail standards. What you''ll be doing: As Giftware Department Manager, you''ll have responsibility for the commercial performance, presentation and day to day running of the department.Leading and supporting a small team across the Giftware department.Driving sales, standards and overall department performance.Buying across a broad range of giftware and seasonal categories.Attending buying events in the UK and occasionally Europe.Managing stock levels, replenishment, margins and product ranges.Maintaining strong merchandising and visual standards across the department.Playing a key role in seasonal trading, particularly Christmas.Managing rotas, administration and general department organisation.Working closely with the wider management team across the garden centre. What they''re looking for:Previous retail management or supervisory experience.A commercially minded retailer with a good understanding of sales, stock and merchandising.Strong people management skills and the ability to lead from the front.Someone ..... full job details .....
