German Speaking Payroll Specialist

Job Title: German-Speaking Payroll Specialist (Remote, UK-Based)Location: Remote (with occasional travel to Darlington, UK)Contract Duration: August 2025 - December 2025We are looking for a German-speaking Payroll Specialist to work for our large international client from August through to December 2025, initially on a temporary basis with the strong potential for extension or a permanent position.This is a remote role with quarterly travel to the Darlington office and maybe rare travel to Germany if required.Key Responsibilities:Process payroll for German sites in compliance with local legislation and internal controlsLiaise with internal departments and external agencies on payroll-related mattersRespond to queries on tax, social security, illness, and insurance-including auditsMaintain accurate documentation and workflow proceduresSupport and attend virtual customer meetings related to payroll in GermanyDrive and participate in process improvement initiativesRequirements:Fluent German (professional level)Solid knowledge of German payroll legislationExperience using SAPProficient in Microsoft ExcelStrong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and customer focusDesirable Competencies:Strong communication and collaboration skillsUnderstanding of payroll and HR compliance standardsExperience working in a shared services or multinational environment You will be working 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday.
