Our client is a growing engineering consultancy seeking an experienced and commercially minded Project Engineer to join its busy Geotechnical & Geo-Environmental team.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-profile projects for blue-chip international clients across the advanced manufacturing, automotive, commercial, industrial, retail, education and residential sectors. The successful Project Engineer will manage projects from inception through to completion, working closely with clients, multidisciplinary teams, contractors and regulatory bodies.

The role will combine office-based design and reporting with hands-on site work, including site investigations, trial pit and borehole logging, environmental monitoring and contamination testing. You will also undertake geotechnical calculations covering slope stability, foundations and earthworks, as well as preparing clear, technically robust interpretative reports.

Applicants should hold a BSc/BEng in Geology, Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Environmental Science or a related discipline, together with at least 5 years'' relevant post-graduate consultancy experience. Strong practical experience supervising site investigations and fieldwork is essential, along with good knowledge of geotechnical software such as Holebase, GEO5 or similar.

A commercially aware approach, strong communication skills and the ability to manage projects, clients and competing priorities are important. A Master''s degree and experience working with residential developers, industrial clients or infrastructure projects would be advantageous.
