We are looking for a Geotechnical Engineer with a solid foundation in numerical analysis and detailed design, to be developed even further. The projects on offer are unique within the UK market and provide the opportunity for global travel as you work on huge infrastructure projects in the form of tailings dams and overseas mining works.
This multidisciplinary consulting engineering firm specialises in geotechnical investigations, geotechnical engineering, and environmental sciences. Part of a global group with 60 years of heritage, this is a fully employee-owned company that fosters a culture of shared success and accountability.
They design, develop and implement innovative, practical and cost-effective site investigations, geotechnical engineering and environmental solutions. The Milton Keynes office combines the close-knit culture of a small team with the expertise and resources of a globally connected group of PhD-level engineers and multidisciplinary professionals.
The Role
Key Responsibilities:
- Geotechnical design for foundations, ground improvement, earthworks, slope stability, retaining walls, and pile design
- Working on mining and tailings-related projects with focus on geotechnical design solutions
- Collaborating with the experienced team on complex geotechnical challenges
Essential Requirements:
- Civil Engineering degree with Geotechnical Engineering specialisation, or Geotechnical Engineering degree with a design background
- 3-5 years of strong geotechnical design experience
- Solid understanding of geotechnical engineering principles and design methodologies
- Experience with various geotechnical software packages
- UK citizenship or Indefinite Leave to Remain (visa sponsorship not available)
Preferred:
- Master''s degree in relevant discipline
- Experience in mining or tailings projects (desirable but not essential)
- Working towards chartered status
