Geotechnical Engineer Job Overview

• Review and interpret geotechnical reports, ground investigation data, and site information
• Provide expert advice to tender and project teams on ground risks, methodologies, and mitigation measures
• Support planning, design, and temporary works teams with specialist geotechnical input
• Liaise with consultants, clients, and site teams to ensure information is accurate, practical, and buildable
• Contribute to technical assurance and continuous improvement across the engineering function

Geotechnical Engineer Job Requirements

• Degree in Geotechnical Engineering (or related discipline)
• Chartered Engineer (ICE, IStructE, or equivalent) desirable
• 12+ years'' experience in geotechnical engineering (consultancy + contractor-side ideal)
• Strong technical knowledge of soil mechanics, ground risk assessment, and geotechnical design
• Excellent at report review and delivering clear, practical advice
• Strong communicator, able to engage confidently with clients, designers, and site teams
• Happy with Hours: 8am to 5pm in office
• UK Driving Licence
