About the Role:
As a Geophysical Project Engineer, you''ll manage the full lifecycle of geophysical survey projects-from initial commissioning through to final reporting. Projects vary in scale, from small sites to large-scale developments.
You''ll work with a variety of survey techniques including magnetometry, electromagnetics, and ground penetrating radar, supporting both heritage and non-heritage projects.
This is primarily an office-based role with occasional site visits or fieldwork as required.

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget, serving as the primary client contact after commissioning
- Oversee several projects at once, each at different stages of delivery
- Organise project setup, including RAMS/WSI preparation, logistics, site access, and accommodation
- Plan survey schedules in coordination with the wider team''s workload
- Supervise field teams to maintain high standards of data collection
- Lead the report production process, ensuring strong technical accuracy and clear written communication
- Conduct quality checks on survey data, site documentation, and final reports
- Keep project data and performance metrics accurate and up to date
- Manage the secure storage and archiving of project data and reports
- Assist in mentoring and developing junior staff members
- Contribute ideas to improve survey methods and support the organisation''s future direction
What We''re Looking For
Proven ability to plan, organise, and deliver projects effectively. Confident communicator with strong client engagement skills. Solid knowledge of geophysical survey techniques. Experience leading teams and producing high-quality results. Comfortable managing multiple priorities and working to tight deadlines. Full UK driving license and right to work permanently in the UK. Relevant degree to Geophysics.
