About the Role

Teach South is recruiting a Geography Teacher for a secondary school in Southampton. This full-time position starts immediately and runs until the end of the academic year, with a salary of £34,000 to £45,000 per annum. The successful candidate will deliver engaging lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, fostering curiosity and critical thinking while supporting pupil progress. Responsibilities include adapting existing plans and resources to suit varying abilities and creating an inclusive classroom where every learner feels encouraged. Strong subject knowledge, effective behaviour management and the ability to inspire young people are essential for this role.

Full-Time | Immediate Start | Until the End of the Academic Year

Teach South is working in partnership with a secondary school in Southampton to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Georgraphy Teacher to join their team as soon as possible, continuing until the end of the academic year.
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator who can engage pupils across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, delivering high-quality lessons that inspire curiosity, develop critical thinking and support academic progress.

The Role:

Deliver engaging Geography lessons to KS3 and KS4 pupils.
Adapt and tailor existing lesson plans and resources to meet the needs, abilities and learning levels of different teaching sets.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all pupils are encouraged to achieve their potential.
Monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching approaches to support individual learning needs.
Maintain high standards of behaviour and promote a positive attitude towards learning.

The Ideal Candidate:

Has experience teaching Geography at secondary school level.
Can confidently adapt resources and differentiate lessons to suit a range of abilities.
Has strong classroom management and communication skills.
Is enthusiastic, flexible and committed to helping pupils succeed.
Can start as soon as possible and commit to the role until the end of the academic year.
