Supply Desk is assisting a well-regarded secondary school in Rochester in their search for a passionate Geography Teacher to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for an engaging and vibrant teacher looking for a full-time, long-term supply contract.

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Geography Teacher to inspire and challenge students at KS3 and KS4. The school has a supportive environment, but students come from a range of backgrounds, including some who are vulnerable, so experience in classroom management and supporting children from vulnerable backgrounds is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality Geography lessons to students of varying abilities.
• Create engaging and dynamic learning experiences to bring Geography to life.
• Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Adapt teaching strategies to support students from diverse and vulnerable backgrounds.
• Participate in departmental and school-wide activities and initiatives.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• A degree in Geography or a related field.
• Experience of teaching Geography at KS3 and KS4.
• Strong classroom management skills and experience supporting students from vulnerable backgrounds.
• Passion for Geography and the ability to inspire young minds.
• Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement.
