Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver high-quality Geography lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
Assess, monitor, and report on student progress in line with school and national expectations
Foster an understanding of global issues, environmental awareness, and spatial thinking
Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities
Maintain effective classroom management and a positive learning environment
Collaborate with colleagues to drive departmental and whole-school initiatives
Essential
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching Geography at secondary level
Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the national curriculum
Excellent classroom management and communication skills
A commitment to high standards and student achievement
Desirable
Familiarity with exam board specifications and assessments
Willingness to participate in CPD and continuous improvement
Involvement in extracurricular or enrichment activities related to Geography (e.g. Eco-club, field trips)
