Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term (with strong potential for a permanent position and leadership responsibilities)
Pay Range: andpound;160 andndash; andpound;240 per day (dependent on experience)
Working Hours: 8:00 am andndash; 4:00 pm



Overview:

A secondary school near Andover is seeking a Geography Teacher to join their team from September 2025. This is a full-time position teaching Geography across Key Stages 3 and 4, with some History included in the timetable.

For the right candidate, the school is offering the opportunity to take on Head of Department responsibilities, with a clear pathway to a permanent leadership role.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Deliver engaging and well-structured Geography lessons to students in KS3 and KS4
  • Teach some History lessons within the timetable
  • Foster curiosity and critical thinking through innovative and inclusive teaching
  • Monitor and support student progress through differentiated instruction and assessment
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum plans and share best practices
  • Contribute to school life, including enrichment activities, trips, and cross-curricular initiatives
  • Take on departmental leadership responsibilities (for candidates with suitable experience)

Requirements:


  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Leadership experience or ambition to move into a Head of Department role
