This pivotal role requires an inspiring leader to develop an engaging curriculum, foster a deep understanding of our world, and ensure outstanding progress for all students in Geography.

The Role

The Head of Geography will:

• Provide strategic leadership and management for the entire Geography department.
• Oversee curriculum design, assessment, and the quality of teaching and learning across KS3-5.
• Lead, motivate, and develop a team of passionate Geography teachers.
• Manage departmental resources, including fieldwork opportunities and technology.
• Promote environmental awareness, global citizenship, and an appreciation for physical and human landscapes.

The Ideal Candidate

We are seeking an exceptional Geography teacher with QTS/QTLS and proven leadership experience who:

• Possesses a strong academic background in Geography and a passion for the subject.
• Demonstrates strong leadership, management, and interpersonal skills.
• Is innovative, data-driven, and committed to continuous improvement.
• Is keen to embed fieldwork and real-world application into the curriculum.
