Academics, an established Education Agency, are acting as an agency and are recruiting a Geography Teacher to work on a temporary, flexible ongoing supply basis across a variety of secondary schools throughout Doncaster.

This Geography Teacher opportunity allows you to teach your specialist subject across different school environments in Doncaster, whilst also offering the chance to undertake general secondary cover where subject-specific Geography Teacher roles are not available.

Position: Geography Teacher
Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire
Contract: Temporary, flexible ongoing supply
Pay: -140 - -195 per day (dependent on experience, training, qualifications and client rate available, paid via PAYE - no umbrella company fees, inclusive of holiday pay)
Start Date: ASAP or a start date that works for you

About the Role

Working as a Geography Teacher in Doncaster, you will deliver engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4, helping pupils develop their understanding of geographical concepts, people, places and the world around them.

The Geography Teacher role in Doncaster would suit experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers looking for flexible, temporary ongoing work. Alongside Geography teaching, you may also have opportunities to undertake general secondary cover across a variety of Doncaster schools.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Adapt learning to meet the needs of different pupils
• Support pupils'' progress and engagement
• Maintain positive behaviour and classroom routines
• Follow school planning and curriculum expectations
• Provide general secondary cover when required
• Follow safeguarding procedures at all times

Candidate Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent)
• Previous experience teaching Geography or relevant secondary teaching experience
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Flexible and adaptable approach
• Enhanced DBS Certificate, or willingness to obtain one
