Geo-Environmental Engineer
Our client, a leading consultancy, is currently seeking a Geo-Environmental Engineer to join their team based in Dunfermline. This role involves working across various sites throughout Scotland, primarily on-site or in person, with occasionally one day of hybrid working possible. The role may involve rare overnight stays, compensated by financial extras such as dinner allowances, and access to company vehicles for site work whenever possible.Key Responsibilities:Carrying out gas and groundwater monitoring on site using specialist equipmentInspection of investigation trial pits during excavation and logging of soilsSupervising earthworks and mine consolidation works on siteOnsite inspection of gas protection measures and environmental remediation worksWriting detailed reportsLiaising and communicating directly with clients and other professionals on the projectCollaborating with the internal team across the wider practice, including civil and structural engineering departmentsJob Requirements:Experience in geotechnical and geology disciplinesFull UK driving licence is essentialStrong communication and report-writing skillsAbility to work effectively both independently and as part of a teamProficiency in using specialist equipment for gas and groundwater monitoringDetail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilitiesBenefits:Opportunity for hybrid working one day a weekUse of company vehicles for site workFinancial extras for rare overnight staysSupportive and collaborative ..... full job details .....
