Geo-Environmental Engineer

Bennett & Game are currently working with a multi-disciplinary engineering and environmental consultancy, who are looking to appoint an experienced Geo-Environmental Engineer to join their growing team. The position is ideally based from their Leicestershire office, although Birmingham and Nottingham can also be considered.
The successful candidate will work across a varied portfolio of residential, commercial, industrial, retail, leisure, education and healthcare projects, providing geo-environmental support from initial site investigations through to reporting, risk assessment and approvals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver geo-environmental site investigations, assessments and technical reports
- Produce technically accurate calculations, reports and technical documentation
- Manage projects from inception through to completion, including budgets, programmes and resources
- Liaise with clients, regulators, contractors and multidisciplinary design teams
- Attend site visits, meetings and supervise site works where required
- Support business development and help secure repeat business and future opportunities
- Manage project finances, WIP, invoicing and fee proposals
- Maintain and develop technical standards, systems and procedures
- Ensure compliance with CDM 2015 and relevant health & safety requirements
- Contribute to research, development and continual improvement of technicalprocesses
Requirements:
- Degree or equivalent in Geo-Environmental Engineering, Geology or a related discipline
- Previous experience in geo-environmental site investigation, risk assessment and technical reporting
- Good understanding of ground investigation techniques, soil properties and contamination assessment
- Knowledge of NHBC Standards, NPPF and relevant environmental/geotechnical legislation
- Professional membership of the Geological Society, CIWEM or similar, or working towards membership
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with good client-facing ability
- Organised and methodical approach to project management and problem solving
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle insured for business use
- Valid CSCS card and understanding of construction/site safety
