My client is looking for a Geo-Environmental Consultant to join a growing environmental team, supporting the delivery of contaminated land, site investigation and environmental management projects. What you will be doing
In this Geo-Environmental Consultant role, you will be:
·Providing technical assessment and advisory services relating to contaminated land and environmental management
·Delivering site investigation and contaminated land projects for a range of internal and external clients
·Producing detailed technical reports based on desk studies and site investigation data
·Supporting planning matters linked to contaminated land compliance and development requirements
·Liaising with clients, colleagues, stakeholders, members of the public and other interested parties to support successful project delivery
·Following health, safety, environmental and quality management procedures at all times
·Contributing innovative options for future site development
 
What will make you a strong match
To be considered, you should be able to demonstrate:
·A Master''s degree in Environmental Management, Contaminated Land or a related subject, or a Bachelor''s degree supported by equivalent consultancy experience
·Membership of a relevant professional body, with ongoing CPD
·Up-to-date knowledge of contaminated land legislation, guidance and good practice
·Strong ICT skills, including relevant specialist software such as GIS and site investigation data management tools
·Experience preparing technical reports such as Phase 1 Desk Studies, Phase 2 Intrusive Investigations, risk assessments and remediation strategies
·A broad geotechnical understanding
·Experience working collaboratively with clients, stakeholders and colleagues
·The ability to manage projects against programme and financial targets
 
Salary and package
The salary for this Geo-Environmental Consultant position is £35,000 - £40,000 per year, with salary dependent on experience. In addition to salary, the role offers the chance to work on meaningful technical projects, gain exposure to a wide range of contaminated land and environmental consultancy work, and continue developing your career within a supportive professional setting.
