We''re currently looking for an experienced Generator Test Engineer to support long-term works on a major project in Sheffield.

This role is a mix of hands-on testing, commissioning support, and client interaction, working alongside a Tier 1 contractor to ensure generator systems are delivered, tested, and operating to spec.

• Carry out generator testing including load bank testing

• Support commissioning and handover of generator systems

• Fault finding and troubleshooting during testing phases

• Attend and contribute to client / Tier 1 meetings

• Review and discuss technical specifications and system performance

• Ensure all works are completed safely and in line with project requirements

• Proven experience working with generators (diesel / temporary power)

• Experience with load bank testing and commissioning

• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills

• Ability to read and understand electrical drawings / schematics

• Confident communicating with clients and site teams

• Previous experience working alongside Tier 1 contractors (desirable)

• Generator Engineer

• Commissioning Engineer (Power / Electrical)

• Electrical Engineer with testing experience

• Temporary power / events power experience
