Generator Service EngineerLocation: Northern IrelandSalary: 40,000 - 45,000Job Type: Permanent, Monday to FridayA growing power generation business is looking for an experienced Generator Service Engineer to join its field service team across Northern Ireland.This is a hands-on field role covering the servicing, fault finding, repair, and testing of diesel generators across a wide range of engine brands and generator sizes.The Role:You will be responsible for:Carrying out generator servicing, including oil/filter changes and fluid samplingDiagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faultsConducting load bank testing on customer generator unitsWorking on engines from small kVA units through to large-scale generator systemsRepairing components including fuel pumps, starter motors, cooling systems, battery chargers, heaters, cables, and control equipmentInterrogating control systems such as DSE, ComAp, and DEIFAssisting with engine rebuilds, top-end overhauls, control panel upgrades, and retrofitsLiaising professionally with customers on-siteRequirements:Previous experience within generator servicing or the power generation industryStrong mechanical and electrical fault-finding abilityExperience working on diesel engines and generator systemsValid CSCS/ECS cardAbility to work independently and manage your own workloadProfessional, reliable, and customer-focused approachDesirable:Generator brand-specific trainingControl systems trainingElectrical qualifications, such as ..... full job details .....
