Job Role: Generalist Cover TutorLocation: HMP ThamesideSalary: From £30,000 per annum + £5,000 London WeightingContract: Permanent, full-time Role Overview We are recruiting an adaptable and motivated Generalist Cover Tutor to deliver high-quality education within a custodial environment at HMP Thameside. As a Generalist Cover Tutor, you will support the delivery of education across multiple curriculum areas, providing engaging and learner-focused teaching that helps individuals develop the knowledge, skills and confidence required for rehabilitation, further learning and future employment. Working with small groups of prison-based learners, you will play a key role in creating positive learning experiences, supporting achievement and progression, and helping learners overcome barriers to education. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced educator who enjoys variety, can adapt to different subject areas, and is passionate about changing lives through education. Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching, Learning and Delivery Plan and deliver engaging and inclusive lessons across a range of curriculum areas Adapt teaching approaches to meet individual learner needs, abilities and learning styles Create a positive, supportive and motivating learning environment Promote learner engagement, attendance and achievement Embed literacy, numeracy, digital skills and employability skills within delivery Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to maximise learner participation ..... full job details .....
