As a General Technician in the Hair & Beauty Department you will be supporting teaching and learning and contributing to the smooth, safe, day to day running of the specialist hair and beauty work areas on a part time, term time only basis.

This role is fixed term for 11 months.

As our General Technician, you will:

·     •    Monitor stock levels and support the sourcing and ordering of materials, consumables and equipment as required.
•    Prepare resources, materials, consumables and equipment for practical sessions and demonstrations.  
•    Support the effective management of both consumable and physical resources including the safe movement and storage of resources.  
•    Keep all specialist work areas, storage facilities, equipment, and machinery outstandingly clean, organised and tidy in line with Health and Safety (H &S) requirements.

What you will bring to the role: 

·•    You will require a level 2 or 3 qualification in Hairdressing, Beauty Therapy or Media Make-Up.
•    English and Maths at Level 2 or above.
•    You should also hold a First Aid at Work certificate or be willing to gain this qualification as soon as possible once in post.
