Teaching AssistantFull-time contracts and supply workPrimary SchoolsHackneySeptember 2025 July 2026We are urgently looking for teaching assistants across the borough of Hackney to work on a full-time and supply basis in a range of primary schools.We have Teaching Assistant opportunities across all primary age groups (EYFS/KS1/KS2). As a Teaching Assistant you will be supporting children and teachers in a variety of ways.In the early years (3 - 5) you will support children with play based learning, early reading and phonics and learning numbers and letters.In the primary age groups (KS1/KS2), you will be based in a more structured classroom supporting children to access learning activities across English, Maths and various other subjects.Many of the roles we have are for teaching assistants to work with a specific child or children with special educational needs (SEN). This will involve building relationships with them, adjusting activities and helping them to focus in class and work with other children. Whilst an understanding of SEN is helpful, many of our teaching assistants gain experience on the job and with training and guidance from teachers and school leaders in their placements.Teaching Assistants are required for the full school day - 8.30am to 3.45pm (approx.)Flexible work optionsWe have full-time Teaching Assistant contracts available with immediate starts in schools across London.
