General Sales Manager

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a General Sales Manager position in Hersham. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced General Sales Manager professional seeking to lead a dynamic sales team within a reputable car dealership group. The successful General Sales Manager will be responsible for managing both new and used car sales, driving performance, and ensuring high standards of customer service.

Duties:

• Lead, motivate, and develop the new and used car sales teams to surpass performance targets
• Drive sales strategies to maximise profit and dealership growth as the-General Sales Manager
• Ensure exceptional customer satisfaction and maintain high service standards
• Oversee sales processes, including vehicle stock management and customer rapport
• Monitor and report on sales performance metrics regularly
• Develop and implement effective training programmes for team development
• Collaborate with Aftersales and other departments to optimise dealership performance
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of market trends and competitor activity
• Uphold brand standards and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Sales Manager or General Sales Manager within a dealership environment
• Demonstrable leadership and team development skills
• Strong communication, planning, and organisational abilities
• Passionate about delivering outstanding customer service
• Ability to analyse sales data and implement strategic initiatives
• Full UK driving licence
