This temporary General Operator post in Swindon supports a pharmaceutical production team through manual packing of filled vials. Working double day shifts, Monday to Friday, either 07:00–15:00 or 15:00–23:00, the successful candidate follows Standard Operating Procedures to pack products accurately and safely. Strict adherence to gowning, cleaning and compliance standards is essential, alongside careful record-keeping and attention to detail. Pay reaches £16.91 hourly. We are currently recruiting for a General Operator - Manual Packing to join a busy and professional production team within a highly regulated pharmaceutical environment. As a General Operator - Manual Packing, you will play a key role in ensuring products are packed accurately and safely while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, compliance, and quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the manual packing of filled product vials.
  • Adhere to gowning and cleaning procedures within the packing area.
  • Assist with the safe transfer and handling of materials into the production area.
  • Maintain adequate stock levels of operational materials and ensure all items remain within expiry dates.
  • Carry out cleaning and maintenance activities in line with SOPs, cGMP requirements, and pharmaceutical regulatory standards.
  • Perform packaging, labelling, line-end run-off activities, and in-process weight checks.
  • Identify and report any non-conformances, quality concerns, or process deviations to team leaders, management, or Quality Assurance.
  • Complete production documentation accurately and in accordance with Data Integrity principles and company procedures.
  • Contribute to a safe, compliant, and efficient working environment.
