General Operative

VGC Group are currently recruiting an experienced General Operative to join a project based in Saxmundham, Suffolk across the below dates:

Monday 10th - 14th August
Monday 7th- Wednesday 16th September
Thursday 15th - Friday 30th October

This is a great opportunity for a reliable and hard-working labourer looking for work, and to gain experience with a Tier 1 client.
We are looking for someone who can work well as part of a team, and support site operations to help keep the project running safely and efficiently.

Pay Rate: £15.23 per hour PAYE
Shift Pattern: 7am - 5pm, Monday - Friday
Location: Saxmundham, Suffolk

Lodge and Travel is not available for this role.

As the General Operative on site, your responsibilities may include:
- Assisting trades and site management with general labouring duties
- Keeping the site clean, tidy, and safe at all times
- Moving materials and equipment around site
- Supporting with general site set-up and maintenance
- Following all site health and safety procedures
- Carrying out any other general site duties as required

To be considered for this role, you must have:

- A valid CSCS Card
- Previous experience working as a labourer on construction sites
- A good work ethic and positive attitude
- The ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Good punctuality and reliability
- Right to work in the UK
