General Operative

Job title: Manufacturing Operative Location: Burntwood Department: Production Job type: Full-Time, Temp to perm Salary: £12.55ph starting with overtime at time and a half Schedule: Day work 6am starts Job purpose: We currently have an opportunity for our client as an Operative to join the Production Team in Burntwood. This role is for a motivated individual who will learn all aspects of manufacturing conveyor belts including cutting by hand and operating machinery such as slitting machines, presses and assembly equipment. Previous experience would be needed but not in full as full training will be provided. Responsibilities: The correct PPE (safety shoes, cut resistant gloves, glasses and hi-visibility clothing) for the task being performed must always be worn in our production facility, Precise measurements to tight tolerances including final inspection of work, Cutting and attention to details, Manufacturing belts and fabricated products, Manufacturing to customer specification and company quality standards, Following all our HandS Standards, Good communication skills, Operating industrial machinery, Operating light machinery (use of hand tools), Preparation of assembly materials, Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping, Manual Handling and processing of large rolls, Flexible attitude to working hours.
