General Operative - Recycling (part shift work)

Production Operative (Shift) Temporary to PermanentTalent STEM are recruiting on behalf of a well-established industrial business within the recycling and materials processing sector. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Production Operative to join their team on a temporary-to-permanent basis.This is a hands-on role in a busy industrial environment involving yard duties, material handling, machinery operation and forklift truck work. Applicants must hold a valid Counterbalance FLT licence.Key ResponsibilitiesGeneral yard and processing dutiesMaterial handling, sorting and preparationOperating machinery and equipment following trainingUsing hand and power tools safelyCounterbalance FLT operationLoading and unloading vehiclesMaintaining high housekeeping and safety standardsSupporting wider site operations as requiredRequirementsPrevious experience within a recycling, yard, manufacturing or industrial environmentValid Counterbalance FLT licence (essential)Experience operating machinery and/or industrial toolsGood level of physical fitnessFlexible approach to working hours and dutiesStrong commitment to health and safetyHoursThe role combines standard Monday Friday daytime hours with planned 12-hour day and night shifts during certain weeks.
