About the Role

This full-time, permanent General Operative role is based in Daventry, Northamptonshire, working 45 hours per week. The schedule runs Monday to Thursday, 07:00 to 17:15, with Fridays finishing at 13:00. Pay is £14.00 per hour, and the position offers 25 days of paid annual leave plus bank holidays. Duties cover general metal working, including materials handling, deburring, assembling components, preserving, drilling, sawing, semi-automatic brazing, pressure testing (hydrostatic and air under water), spot welding, and setting and operating part numbering and tapping machines. Plant equipment may be operated only when authorised. Candidates should be reliable, practical, and comfortable with hands-on production work.

Salary: £14.00 Per Hour.
Location: Daventry, Northamptonshire NN11.
Schedule: Monday to Thursday from 07:00am to 17:15pm, Fridays from 07:00am to 13:00pm.

Job Purpose
General metal working duties. May include operating of plant equipment but only if authorised to do so. Duties could include any of the following;

• Materials handling
• Deburring
• Assembling components
• Preserving
• Drilling
• Sawing
• Semi automatic brazing of assemblies
• Pressure Testing components both hydrostatic and air under water
• Spot Welding
• Setting and Operating Part Numbering Machine
• Setting and Operating Tapping Machine
• Basic operation of pressbrakes
• Operating robotic welders

It is a condition of employment that you make yourself available for and take full advantage of training. You are required to maintain your own professional continuous development.

Candidate requirements
Must be dexterous and have a willingness to work in different areas of the business.
Desirable – experience in Robot Weld/ Machine

• Ability to attend work regularly and punctually.
• Ability to work unsupervised.
• Must be self-motivated
• Methodical and precise.
