Belfast - Duncrue Industrial Estate 13.47 Per HourFull-time - 37 hours per weekTemporary (12 weeks) - Quick Start Hatched Recruitment is working in partnership with Belfast City Council to recruit a General Operative within the City and Neighbourhood Services team.This is a hands-on, outdoor role supporting essential services across Belfast, helping to maintain clean, safe, and welcoming public spaces. The RoleAs a General Operative, you will be involved in a variety of duties across waste collection, street cleansing, and open spaces. You will work as part of a team delivering frontline services to the public.Key responsibilities include:Collecting and loading domestic, commercial, and recyclable wasteCarrying out street cleansing duties (litter picking, graffiti removal, street washing, etc.)Supporting recycling initiatives and identifying contamination issuesMaintaining public areas such as parks, streets, and open spacesAssisting with gardening duties including grass cutting, planting, and hedge trimmingOperating tools and equipment safely (training provided where required)Supporting winter services (gritting, snow clearance)Engaging with members of the public in a professional mannerAdhering strictly to health and safety procedures at all times RequirementsTo be considered, you must have:At least 1 year''s relevant experience, including:Working with the publicAwareness of health and safety procedures / PPE / manual handlingGood communication and teamwork skillsAbility ..... full job details .....
