General Operative - De-vegetation / Civils

Job Opportunity: General Operative (De-Veg)

Location: Birmingham (Flagship Civils Project) Term: Ongoing / Seasonal (Summer 2026) Rate: Competitive (DOE)

We are currently seeking hardworking General Operatives with De-vegetation experience to join a major flagship civil engineering project in Birmingham. This is a seasonal role expected to run throughout the summer months, focusing on large-scale site clearance and vegetation management.

Working as part of a specialist clearance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the site remains clear of overgrowth to allow for primary construction works.

• Vegetation Clearance: Using strimmers, brushcutters, and hand tools to clear scrub and weeds.

• Waste Management: Operating wood chippers and ensuring the safe disposal of green waste.

• Site Maintenance: Supporting the wider civils team with general groundworks and keeping the site perimeter secure and tidy.

• CSCS Card: Green (Labourer) or higher is essential.

• De-Veg Experience: Proven experience in commercial or industrial vegetation clearance.

• Safety Awareness: A strong understanding of site safety, particularly around heavy plant machinery.

• Reliability: Ability to commute to various sites across the Birmingham area.

• NPTC/LANTRA Brushcutter & Strimmer

• Wood Chipper certification

• First Aid at Work

• Full UK Driving License

• Duration: Full-time hours, ongoing through the summer season.

• Start Date: Immediate starts available for the right candidates.

• Environment: Outdoor work on a fast-paced, high-profile construction site.
