Balham’s Social Pub, The Hagen and Hyde, is your new playground. A refurbished social hub on Balham High Street, blending laid-back vibes with big-night energy—from after-work pints to pub quizzes and Friday dancing. We’re after an outgoing, entrepreneurial General Manager to lead our vibrant team and keep the magic alive.

The Role

Be the face of the venue: run operations as if it’s your own businessDrive smart, commercial decisions to grow the bottom line without compromising guest experienceLead, train, and inspire a team to deliver consistently outstanding service and standardsBe a community ambassador: raise the venue’s profile, forge partnerships, and get involved locallyInnovate with events and experiences that surprise and delight both guests and the team

What We’re Looking For

Heart-on-your-sleeve leadership: own the role, stay bold, stay calm under pressureNo ego, just action: roll up your sleeves and get things doneMinimum 2 years’ experience as a General Manager (varies by property)Exceptional communication and organisational skills; approachable and hands-onOutstanding customer service and floor leadershipAn entrepreneurial spark—excited by new ideas and growthPassion for people: mentoring, developing, and having fun
