For more information, visit www.shift4.com.Reporting to the Managing Director, Enterprise Compliance, the General Manager, UK Entity will lead the strategic development and operational execution of Shift4 Payments UK Ltd. This senior role oversees Risk and Compliance, Finance, and Operations, ensuring adherence to UK regulatory requirements, group policies, and business objectives. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in the UK payments ecosystem, strong leadership capabilities, and a proven track record working with regulators, scaling operations, and managing cross-functional teams in a regulated environment.Responsibilities

Develop the UK-based business, and oversee key functional areas including: Risk and Compliance, Financial Control, and OperationsOversee daily operations and ensure service delivery excellenceEstablish robust operational and reconciliation processes for all fund transfer, settlement, and other high-risk activitiesLeverage knowledge of Card Schemes and Regulators (FCA, PRA, and others as appropriate) and correspondents to ensure compliance and provide effective liaisonAchieve quarterly and annual performance targets with defined resourcesEnsure adherence to annual budgets, particularly from a cost management perspectiveExecute on strategic key corporate planning issuesCommunicate effectively with the wider Shift4 Payments UK Ltd team and keep them informed of business activities, potential threats, opportunities and recommended actionsEnsure adherence to UK regulatory requirementsMonitor outsourced service within the Shift4 Group and ensure SLAs are being metGovernance, Regulatory Compliance, and Capability BuildingImplement and ensure ongoing compliance with Consumer Duty requirements as per the Financial Services and Markets Act (2000) FSMAIdentify potential changes and their impact to the business and communicate these to the wider Shift4 management team and executive boardSet functional performance goals and lead programs to build organisational capabilitiesSupport operational goals tied to Shift4 long-term goalsDevelop a well-rounded, capable senior management team to provide the platform for ongoing growthEnsure local compliance with the Group’s Policies and ProceduresProvide periodic reports to the Managing Director, Enterprise Compliance and Executive Board on the implementation of the compliance monitoring program for UK operationsResponsibility for management of the Shift4 systems and controls in the UKResponsibility for the allocation of all the institution prescribed responsibilitiesResponsibility for the institution performance of its obligations under Internal GovernanceRequired Experience

Proven senior leadership experience within a UK regulated financial institution (e.g. PSP, EMI, or former bank)Minimum of 10+ years of experience in a senior leadership roleDeep understanding of UK payments regulations, FCA supervisory frameworks, and card scheme requirements (Visa/Mastercard)Prior experience working directly with regulators and representing an entity in regulated board-level or supervisory meetingsStrong operational background, with ability to oversee compliance, risk, and finance functionsExperience managing cross-functional teams in a matrixed, global organisationDemonstrated success in scaling or supporting business growth in a fintech or financial services environmentCore Competencies
