Job Title: General Manager Location: Clacton-on-Sea Salary: £60,000 Job Description An established engineering organisation is seeking an experienced General Manager / Production Engineer to oversee site operations, support project delivery, and contribute to both technical and commercial activities. This is a hands-on role requiring strong leadership and engineering expertise, ideally within industrial boilers, energy, or heavy engineering sectors. Job Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day site operations, including production, repair, and engineering activities Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and efficient delivery Provide hands-on engineering support across production, maintenance, and troubleshooting Review technical drawings, specifications, and work packages to ensure accuracy Support project scoping, proposals, and resource planning Manage production schedules, workflow, and quality assurance Promote and maintain strong health, safety, and environmental standards Skills Required Experience in a General Manager, Production Engineer, Operations Manager, or similar role within engineering or heavy industry Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline Strong leadership and team management skills Ability to interpret technical drawings and engineering documentation Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills Compensation and Other Benefits Salary £50,000 £60,000 Full-time, ..... full job details .....
