General Manager

OverviewRoadchef is the 3rd largest Motorway Service Area on the UK network. As a Site Director (General Manager) you will play a pivotal role in driving the continued success of our Company, leading a team across a Motorway Service Area with multiple brand partners.

We partner with brands including McDonald’s, Costa, Leon, WHSmith, Co-Op, Days Inn hotels, Cornish Bakery, and our own catering brands.

Our mission is to de-stress and delight Britain''s road users, with a vision to make Britain''s roads a safer and happier place by elevating the mood of every road user.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach and inspire your team through exemplary leadership, recognition and development to sustain peak performance.

Drive customer satisfaction metrics aligned to each brand, operational excellence and sales performance across the Site.

Ensure compliance with all legislation and standards, including Health and Safety, Food Safety, Gaming and other regulatory areas.

Deliver the site’s yearly performance with a commercial mindset and attention to detail.

Qualifications / Ideal Profile

A true People Leader with a proven track record of leading from the front.

Proven ability to deliver KPI milestones and breakthrough results, overcoming challenges and setbacks.

Experience coaching and developing internal talent and building team capability.

Ability to conceive ideas that challenge the status quo in a constructive way.

Willingness to adopt and integrate best practices from others.

Commitment to diversity and inclusive culture, with the potential for everyone to make a difference.

Experience managing a diverse, complex business in hospitality or retail at a stand-alone or Area level with teams of 150+.
