General Manager

We are working on behalf of our client, a well-established automotive business in Scarborough, to recruit an experienced General Manager. This is a highly sought-after-General Manager opportunity for a motivated, commercially-minded professional with proven management experience within the motor trade. The successful General Manager will assume responsibility for the daily operations of the business, driving performance, enhancing customer satisfaction, and leading a dedicated team.

Benefits:

• Competitive basic salary up to 65,000, commensurate with experience
• Bonus potential with an OTE of 75,000 as a-General Manager

Duties:

• Oversee daily operational activities across all departments, ensuring efficiency and customer focus
• Lead, motivate and develop the team to meet business objectives
• Monitor financial performance, sales targets, and profit margins
• Develop strategic initiatives to increase revenue and improve overall performance
• Manage recruitment, staff training, and development programmes
• Monitor KPIs and implement improvements as necessary
• Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and company policies
• Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and manufacturer representatives
• Report on business performance, identify future growth opportunities, and formulate strategic plans

Requirements:

• Previous management experience within the automotive industry
• Strong understanding of dealership or automotive business operations
• Proven leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
• Experience managing budgets, profitability, and performance targets
• Excellent communication, organisational, and decision-making skills
• Commercial awareness with the ability to identify growth opportunities
• Full UK driving licence is essential for this-General Manager role
