General Manager (Manufacturing)

Market 36 Recruitment is currently recruiting for a General Manager to join an established and ambitious manufacturing business based in Witham. The successful candidate will play a central role in the day-to-day management of the company, working closely with the Managing Director to improve operations, develop the team and support the continued growth of the business. We are seeking a proactive, process-driven and commercially ambitious individual with the energy and determination to take genuine ownership of the operation. This opportunity could particularly suit an ambitious Operations Manager, Production Manager or experienced Supervisor who is ready to progress into a broader senior management role. Roles and Responsibilities Taking responsibility for the day-to-day running of the business while working closely with the Managing Director. Overseeing a team of approximately 20 employees, comprising 15 manufacturing employees and five office-based personnel. Ensuring production has the materials and resources required to operate efficiently. Monitoring operational performance and ensuring work is completed effectively and to the required standards. Supporting the recruitment, onboarding and ongoing management of employees. Managing staff administration and addressing day-to-day personnel matters.
