General Manager
Hexagon Group are delighted to be working with a well-established property management business that is looking to appoint a General Manager to oversee the day-to-day operation of a vibrant, commercial property in North London. The salary bracket for this role is between -48,000 - -52,000 plus company benefits including a discretionary bonus. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced property or facilities management professional who enjoys a varied, hands-on role, combining the operational management of a building with occupier engagement, commercial performance and the overall customer experience.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for the smooth running of the property, maintaining high standards across the building and ensuring that occupiers receive a first-class service. You will work closely with occupiers, contractors and other key stakeholders, building strong relationships and identifying opportunities to improve both the day-to-day operation and the wider occupier experience.
The role will involve overseeing building maintenance, health and safety, statutory compliance, security and service partner performance, alongside managing budgets, monitoring expenditure and identifying opportunities to improve efficiencies. You will also take ownership of occupier relationships, dealing with queries and issues, coordinating move-ins and move-outs, and helping to create a positive and engaging environment through community initiatives and events.
There will also be a commercial element to the position, supporting new business enquiries, conducting viewings, maintaining occupancy levels and developing relationships with existing occupiers to understand their requirements and future plans.
We are looking for someone with a strong background in property or facilities management, who is confident managing contractors, budgets and compliance requirements. You will be a natural relationship builder with strong communication and organisational skills, able to take ownership of the building and balance operational priorities with a genuine focus on customer service.
This would suit someone who enjoys being visible and accessible to occupiers, takes pride in the presentation and performance of a property, and is keen to play an active role in its ongoing success. Experience within the flexible workspace or co-working sector would be particularly relevant, given the emphasis on occupier experience, community engagement, and supporting the commercial performance of the building. Equally, candidates from a traditional property or facilities management background with strong customer-facing and operational experience would be encouraged to apply.
