You will bring a fresh, forward-thinking and collaborative approach to the role which is central to the continued improvement of the Acute Services we deliver.

Responsibilities

Lead and deliver the Sector''s Emergency and Acute Medicine provision and patient flow model.

Be accountable for the strategic and operational delivery and development of the Service.

Support delivery of the Sector’s aims and aspirations for Better Care, Better Health, Better Workplace and Better Value.

Report to the Director for the South Sector and ensure delivery of high quality, safe and efficient patient centred services to meet local and national targets.

Develop the Sector’s patient flow model in collaboration with other Sector General Managers to maximise resources and deliver patient care efficiently.

Qualifications and qualities

Significant senior-level experience in operational management in healthcare or a comparable complex environment.

Strong influencing and leadership abilities; capable of inspiring confidence and leading in a politically sensitive and demanding environment.

Ability to foster a strong, patient-focused culture that encourages initiative, responsibility and open communication.
