Our client is looking for a commercially minded Business Lead / General Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of a well-established pump service, maintenance and engineering business. You''ll lead a team of office staff, workshop personnel and field service engineers whilst driving operational performance, customer satisfaction and business growth.

The Role

• Lead the day-to-day operations of a specialist pump engineering business.
• Manage office staff, workshop personnel and field service engineers.
• Drive operational performance, service delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Take responsibility for budgets, profitability and overall business performance.
• Develop existing customer relationships whilst identifying opportunities for growth.
• Support business development and commercial activities.
• Mentor, develop and motivate the existing team.
• Ensure high standards of health & safety, quality and operational excellence.

About You

You''ll ideally have:

• Experience leading engineering or service teams.

• Commercial awareness with responsibility for budgets, profitability and operational performance.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• The ability to build lasting customer relationships and develop business opportunities.
• A hands-on approach with a passion for leading engineering teams and driving continuous improvement.
