General Machinist (Workshop)

Major Recruitment Oldbury are delighted to be recruiting for our highly professional and expanding Wednesbury client, who are seeking a General Machinist to join their successful engineering workshop.Hours of work are Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 4:30pm and Friday 7am to 1:00pm (30mins. Lunch break).Duties and tasks will include:Cutting, grinding, drilling, measurement and inspection, working to specifications, soldering, etc.Assisting with off-loading and booking-in raw materialsMaintaining a clean, safe and organised working environmentContinuous improvement jobsWorking within a quality system to ISO 9001:2015Working to job instructions, engineering drawings and specificationsWork within the quality, environmental compliance procedures/systems, organisational and health and safety regulations.Have input to potential problems that can occur within the engineering operations and how they can be avoided.Prepare the work area and equipment.Obtain and follow the appropriate job documentation and work instructions.Extract the necessary data and information from specifications and related documentation.Carry out the engineering activities in line with their job role.Candidates welcome to apply for the role will have the following:Be an exceptional team-player and good communicatorDisplay a good work ethicBe capable of working swiftly in a safe and proficient mannerHave the ability to work independently and use own initiativeBe reliable, honest and responsible, with great ..... full job details .....
