Description
- Manage and maintain general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Prepare and post journal entries in a timely and accurate manner.
- Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies to support month-end and year-end processes.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports as required.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper documentation and approvals for transactions.
- Support audits by providing requested documentation and clarifications.
- Identify process improvement opportunities within the general ledger function.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and financial regulations at all times.
Profile
A successful General Ledger professional should have:
- Relevant qualifications in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Experience working with general ledger systems and accounting software.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines under pressure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant tools.
