General Foreman – Major Infrastructure Project

Red Sky Personnel are working alongside a well-established civil engineering contractor self-delivering works on one of the UK’s largest infrastructure schemes. Due to continued project growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced General Foreman to support the delivery of works on a major infrastructure package in the Midlands. This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading contractor working on a nationally significant project involving complex civil engineering and infrastructure works.

The General Foreman will oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with programme and quality requirements.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Supervising gangs and subcontractors across earthworks and groundworks activities
• Managing daily site operations to ensure programme targets are met
• Coordinating plant, labour and materials effectively
• Delivering works in line with specifications, drawings and quality standards
• Conducting toolbox talks, briefings and ensuring workforce engagement
• Maintaining accurate site records and reporting progress to site management
• Driving productivity and resolving on-site issues proactively
• Ensuring strict adherence to health & safety standards, including PPE, site procedures and workforce compliance

• Proven experience working as a General Foreman / Foreman on civil engineering or infrastructure projects
• Strong background in earthworks, groundworks, drainage and infrastructure packages
• SSSTS or SMSTS certification
• Gold CSCS Card (Supervisor)
• Strong leadership and man-management skills
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and method statements
• Experience working on major infrastructure or Tier 1 contractor projects beneficial
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
