General Foreman

Hays Civil Engineering are recruiting for an experienced General Foreman to join a major water infrastructure project involving the installation of a major pipeline instalation.We are seeking a proactive site leader with a strong background in water, utilities or heavy civil engineering projects. The successful candidate will have previous experience supervising tunnelling activities, deep excavations, shaft works and teams operating within confined space environments.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and supervise daily construction activities across multiple work areasLead direct labour and subcontractors to deliver works safely, on time and to specificationCoordinate pipeline, tunnelling and associated civil engineering operationsEnsure all confined space activities are planned, controlled and carried out safelyConduct site briefings, toolbox talks and safety inspectionsMonitor productivity, quality standards and programme performanceLiaise with Site Agents, Engineers and Project Managers to ensure smooth site operationsPromote a positive health, safety and environmental culture throughout the projectEssential RequirementsPrevious experience working as a General Foreman on water, utilities or major civil engineering projectsStrong experience delivering pipeline installation worksExperience supervising tunnelling or shaft constructionProven track record managing teams working in confined spacesMedium or High Risk Confined Spaces Certification (City and Guilds, EUSR or ..... full job details .....
