General Foreman

Force Contracting Services are looking for an experienced General Foreman to join a major Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in Kilmarnock. The project is due to commence in mid-September 2026 and is expected to run for approximately 2 years. The successful candidate will have a strong civil engineering background, relevant experience working on BESS sites, and be confident supervising site teams and coordinating construction activities. Scope of Works: Enabling works Site preparation Earthworks Drainage Access roads Hardstanding Equipment foundations Fencing foundations Ducting and trenching Reinstatement All associated civil works required to provide a complete and operational BESS site Responsibilities: Supervise site operatives and subcontractors, coordinating daily activities, labour, plant and materials. Work from drawings, specifications and RAMS, coordinating closely with Site Engineers and Site Management. Oversee civil works including earthworks, site preparation, drainage, ducting, roads, hardstanding, foundations and fencing. Monitor productivity, workmanship and site standards, reporting progress and issues to the Site Manager. Maintain high standards of health and safety and housekeeping, supporting snagging, reinstatement and completion works. Requirements: Proven experience as a General Foreman or Senior Foreman, with relevant experience working on BESS sites.
