Role: General Construction Technician Location: Merseyside Rate: 16 - 20 per hour Contract: Temporary About the role Eden Brown are looking for an enthusiastic, practical and highly organised General Construction Technician to join our Professional Trades team in a Further Education College in Merseyside. As a General Construction Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and effective operation of the construction workshops, supporting both teaching staff and students in a safe, professional and positive learning environment. You will bring your practical knowledge and experience of the construction industry to support the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning, while ensuring that workshops, tools, equipment and resources are maintained and managed effectively. Key responsibilities Ensure the smooth running and day-to-day operation of the General Construction workshops and wider Professional Trades areas. Manage, organise and dispense tools, equipment, materials and other construction resources effectively. Provide practical support and supervision to Lecturers and students within the workshop environment. Ensure tools, equipment and workshop facilities are maintained in a safe, clean and serviceable condition. Support the preparation of workshops, practical activities and resources for lessons and assessments. Assist teaching staff with practical demonstrations and activities where appropriate.
