Gear Cutting Specialist

Overview

Job Title: Gear CutterLocation: Barton Under Needwood, StaffordshireDuration: 3 months minHours: 7am-4pm Mon to Thurs, 7am-1pm FriOur engineering client based in Barton Under Needwood require and experience Gear Cutter, for a minimum of 3 months work.Responsibilities

Use of a wide range of measuring equipment to check components.Writing and interpreting instructions and procedures to assemble equipment and products accurately.Obtaining relevant information from the relevant sourcesControlling machines and processes.Performing inspections of equipment, structures, materials, and products.Analysing information and finding the best solutions to problems.Maintaining clear and honest communication at all times.Keeping the work environment safe.Learning and applying the latest relevant knowledge to the workMentor trainees / apprentices when applicableWork to and support all relevant 5S activities.Report any near missesEnsure that waste is disposed of in the correct manner.Report any issues or problems with jobs to the line manager.Adhere at all times to the company’s Health, Safety and Environmental instructions, and requirements.Take on any other reasonable responsibilities or tasks that are within the employee’s skills and abilities.Background and Experience

Minimum 1-year experience in relevant rail or automotive industry.Be practical mechanically oriented.Possess good problem-solving skills.Recognised engineering qualification required.Self-motivatedFamiliar with the below machines
