Systems Engineering

Placement, you''ll gain invaluable skills and experience in covering all aspects of systems engineering from requirements capturing, system design and verification. You could be helping with gaining and maintaining network connectivity and providing support services to customers or process improvement using IT systems internally.You could be working within:A multi-disciplined team of engineers, reporting to the

Control Systems

Engineering Manager or you could be in Power Systems and Software function which involve liaising with external and internal stakeholders at the various stages of the systems engineering lifecycle for power distribution systems.Allocated Business Unit working on specific Corrective Actions, managing technical content and monitoring progress (to closure) whilst able to escalate resource/priority constraints to senior leaders.

Test Systems

NPI team = work safely in all TE Sustainment Lab Space and drive metrics to capture complexity and rate of progress of projects.The Systems Engineering team ( Avionics Displays and Controllers ) and gain invaluable skills and experience in covering all aspects of systems engineering from capturing stakeholder expectations, implementing change management on requirements, design, integration to testing the product to meet customer, environmental and certification needs.We have a number of types or roles in this area:Test Systems Sustainment, CheltenhamControl Systems – Engineering, DowtyAvionic Displays and Controllers, CheltenhamYou will be guided by structured goals and objectives and will have responsibility to deliver on inspiring projects supported by your People Leader and team around you. We will guide you throughout the year to ensure you make the best of your GE Aerospace experience. Your People Leader will offer coaching and mentoring, and you will be provided with the opportunity to connect with other placement students across the UThis opportunity is offered in our Cheltenham and Gloucester sites. Toward the end of the placement year, we will open up graduate applications for our current placement students with an aim to securing a role prior to the end of their placement year. Meaning, you can head back into your final year at university with a graduate job offer in hand. Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or integrated Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a related fieldKeen interest in Systems EngineeringOn course to achieve a 2:1 degree or aboveTo be in your penultimate year of study and returning to education post placementDesired Characteristics
