GCSE tutor with SEN experience

Role Overview:
As a GCSE Tutor, you will deliver tailored lessons designed to meet the individual needs of students, including those with SEN. You will support students in preparing for their GCSE exams by adapting your teaching approach, building confidence, and creating a supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and structured one-to-one GCSE tuition sessions
• Support students with SEN, adapting teaching methods to suit individual learning needs
• Teach core subjects such as Maths, English, and/or Science (or your specialist subject)
• Identify areas for development and implement targeted support strategies
• Help students build exam techniques, confidence, and independence
• Provide regular feedback on student progress

Requirements:

• Experience tutoring or teaching at GCSE level
• Proven experience supporting students with SEN (e.g. ASD, ADHD, dyslexia, etc.)
• Strong subject knowledge in at least one core subject
• Patient, adaptable, and empathetic approach
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)

Details:

• Location: Uxbridge (in-person sessions)
• Pay: -2530 per hour (depending on experience)
• Flexible hours to suit your availability
