Job Title: GCSE Maths Intervention Tutor Location: Runcorn Hours: 5-15 hours per week Start Date: October 2026 Duration: Ongoing About the RoleProspero Teaching is looking for a confident Maths Tutor to deliver targeted GCSE intervention to secondary-aged pupils who require additional support with their learning. You will help learners address gaps in mathematical knowledge, strengthen problem-solving skills and prepare for GCSE assessments through structured, engaging one-to-one sessions. Key Responsibilities Deliver personalised GCSE Maths tuition Reinforce algebra, number, geometry, ratio and percentages Identify areas for improvement and adapt lesson content accordingly Prepare learners for examinations and assessments Track progress and encourage independent learning Experience, Training and Qualifications QTS, PGCE or an equivalent relevant qualification desirable Strong knowledge of the GCSE Maths curriculum Previous teaching or tutoring experience Experience supporting pupils who need additional academic intervention Excellent communication and lesson-planning skills Essential Requirements Right to work in the UK Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain the required clearance Two professional references Prospero Teaching is acting as an employment business and education recruitment agency in relation to this vacancy. ..... full job details .....
