GCSE Maths and English Tutor - Wirral

Prospero Teaching is seeking an enthusiastic tutor to support pupils in the Wirral area with their GCSE Maths and English studies. This is an opportunity to provide focused, 1:1 tuition and help learners develop the knowledge and confidence needed to make meaningful academic progress.

Role Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver tailored GCSE Maths and English sessions.
Reinforce key curriculum topics and address gaps in understanding.
Support revision, exam techniques and independent study.
Adapt resources to suit individual abilities and learning styles.
Track progress and encourage positive learning habits.
Hours: approximately 5-15 hours per week, depending on the placement.
Start: ASAP.
Duration: ongoing, subject to placement requirements.

The Successful Tutor Will Have:
Experience teaching or tutoring GCSE Maths and English.
Strong knowledge of the secondary curriculum.
The ability to motivate pupils and build positive working relationships.
A patient, organised and adaptable teaching style.
Experience supporting learners with SEND is an advantage.

Essential Requirements:
Right to work in the UK.
Enhanced DBS with Children''s Barred List clearance, or willingness to obtain the required clearance.
Two professional references.
