GCP Platform Engineer (Contract) Contract Length: Initial 3 months Rate: £375/day (Inside IR35) Location: Sheffield - 3 days per week onsite (Negotiable after some time) Overview We''re looking for an experienced Platform Engineer to join a fast-paced engineering team, supporting and enhancing a cloud-based platform within a regulated environment. The role will focus on platform support, cloud infrastructure, and contributing to the build-out of an Identity andamp; Access Management (IAM) platform. Key Responsibilities Support, maintain and optimise a cloud platform in a production environment.Build and improve platform infrastructure and automation.Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure platform reliability, scalability and security.Contribute to the development and enhancement of an IAM platform.Troubleshoot and resolve complex platform and infrastructure issues.Promote platform engineering best practices and continuous improvement. Required Skills andamp; Experience Proven experience as a Platform Engineer in enterprise environments.Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).Experience supporting and operating cloud platforms in production.Solid understanding of infrastructure, automation and platform engineering principles.Previous experience within Financial Services or another regulated industry.Exposure to Identity andamp; Access Management (IAM) is highly desirable.
