GCP Platform Administrator

Job Overview We are looking for an experienced GCP Platform Administrator with strong hands-on experience in setting up, configuring, and managing new components and services on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate should have expertise in building cloud infrastructure, provisioning GCP resources, configuring platform services, and ensuring the platform is secure, scalable, and reliable. Key Responsibilities Set up, configure, and deploy new components and services on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Provision and manage GCP infrastructure, including Compute Engine, Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Cloud Storage, VPC, Cloud SQL, and IAM. Configure networking, Firewall rules, service accounts, permissions, and security policies. Build and maintain cloud environments across development, testing, staging, and production. Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), or similar tools. Manage cloud resources, monitor platform performance, and troubleshoot infrastructure issues. Implement security best practices, access controls, backup strategies, and disaster recovery procedures. Support CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with DevOps, development, and architecture teams. Perform platform upgrades, patching, capacity planning, and cost optimisation.
